OUR SERVICES
SINGLE PHASE
We provide testing for a diverse array of single-phase appliances and leads. This includes IEC cables, extension leads, power boards, dishwashers, computers, power tools, and chargers. Our comprehensive service covers many other types of equipment as well
3 PHASE
We test a wide range of three-phase leads, often utilised with heavy-duty industrial machinery. This includes equipment such as conveyor belts, welders, bar benders and various other types of industrial equipment.
RCD
A Residual Current Device (RCD) is a crucial safety component that helps prevent electric shock by quickly disconnecting the circuit if it detects a fault, such as leakage current. We thoroughly test RCDs to ensure that they operate correctly and reliably. Our testing verifies that the RCD will effectively trip and break the circuit when a fault occurs
Test's We Conduct
Our thorough testing and tagging procedures adhere to the AS/NZS 3760 standard, ensuring both electrical safety and compliance. These tests cover all Class I, Class II, and Lead Class items to ensure they meet safety standards. (Excluding construction)
- Earth Continuity Test: This test checks the integrity of the earth connection, ensuring that all conductive parts are properly earthed to prevent electric shock.
- Insulation Resistance Test: This test measures the resistance of insulation between live parts and earth or between conductors, verifying that the insulation is intact and effective in preventing electrical leakage.
- Polarity Test: This test ensures that the electrical connections are correctly wired, verifying that live, neutral, and earth wires are properly connected.
- For Residual Current Devices (RCDs), we conduct additional specialized tests:
- Operational Test: This test checks that the RCD responds correctly to a fault by disconnecting the circuit as intended.
- Trip Time Test: This test measures how quickly the RCD trips in response to a fault, ensuring it operates within the required time limits.
- Push-Button Test: This test verifies the RCD’s manual test function, ensuring that the test button effectively simulates a fault condition and triggers the RCD to trip.
